Yodsaenklai Fairtex Highlight

Yodsaenklai Fairtex is one of the most well-known Muay Thai fighters in the world today. He has incredible size and strength for a Thai, and has one of the most famous left kicks in the business.

Yod was born in Nong Bua Lamphu near Udon Thani in North-Eastern Thailand and started fighting at the age of eight.

Although he now trains at the Fairtex gym in Pattaya, that is not where he was developed into the fighter you see today. Prior to Fairtex he trained at Saknipaporn gym, Saenklai SittKru Od gym and Petchyindee. Yod actually takes his name from his former trainer (and Muay Thai legend) Saenklai SittKru Od. Check out this fight of his against Anantasak.

Most fight fans today know Yodsaenklai for fighting internationally on shows such as Lion Fight, K1, Kunlun Fight, Thai Fight, and some may remember him from the reality Muay Thai TV show The Contender Asia. But Yodsaenklai was also a Lumpinee champion at 112lbs and 147bs in Thailand before focusing on fighting international opponents.

Some of Yod’s other accomplishments include winning the Toyota marathon (126lbs), WBC title (154lbs), WMC (160lbs) and the Thai Fight tournament (154lbs).

Some of the fighters featured in this highlight include Chike Lindsay, Antuan Pinto, Dzhabar Askerov, Victor Nagbe, Marat Grigorian, Diogo Calado, Yohan Lidon, Kem Sitsongpeenong, Naimjon Tuhtobaev, Yasuhito Shirasu, Jordan Watson, Khalid Bourdiff, John Wayne Parr, Andy Souwer, Sean Wright, Samkor Kiatmontep and many more.
